Mike Golubitsky

Senior Software Engineer
I’m Mike Golubitsky, Senior Software Engineer at Atlantis. I’m a backend engineer with experience using Python/Flask, C#/.NET Core, Ruby on Rails, and MongoDB just to name a few technologies. Lately, I’ve been diving into Kubernetes and Elm. I have deep experience with building large, scalable REST APIs and ensuring applications are comprehensively tested. I like building software that is modular, readable, well-tested, and inexpensive to change. I’ve also studied Machine Learning (check out my blog!).

I graduated from University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a degree in Sound Recording Technology. I spent my early career as an Audio Engineer before discovering software development. My first software engineering roles were for SolarCity and Tesla where I contributed to the engineering of services that estimate the amount of energy a solar array will produce, a critical piece of workflow across those organizations.

After Tesla, I traveled to Nepal and India to explore the Everest region, and along the way volunteered to teach Computer Science to 6th-9th grade students. While there I was also able to attend the teaching of the Dalai Lama, before returning to the US. Outside of software development I enjoy being in nature and am a pianist and aspiring composer.
